This luxury hotel underwent a major refurbishment, including the refit of over 320 en-suite bathrooms. The work was carried out in several stages and the hotel remained open throughout the 16-month project.
 
Working closely with the contractor, Neville Lumb was able to co-ordinate all supplier deliveries into one of its warehouses. From there, all first fix components were removed, labelled and then packed into boxes and pallets. The pallets were then split and labelled by room and floor in preparation for call-offs in line with the contractor’s schedule. The process was repeated for all second fix products.
 
The contractor was then able to call-off each room and floor as required, minimising on-site damage and storage whilst maximising their cash flow. Each call-off was allocated a delivery slot and was supplied on a specific vehicle from our fleet that allowed for easy access to every site entrance and an easy off-load facility. All deliveries were made before 7.00am to avoid congestion around the site. Furthermore, all waste from previous deliveries was collected and returned to branch for re-use/disposal.
